Alignment Collaborative Progress
Over 750 graduating students enrolled in career and technical education (CTE) courses from School District U-46 attended a job fair hosted by Alignment Collaborative for Education on April 27 at South Elgin High School and on April 28 at Elgin High School. Eighty employers from the area with available job openings met with students to discuss their interests and available roles within their organizations.
Alignment is excited to welcome Edgar Montes as our Community Program Manager (CPM). As the CPM, Edgar will be responsible for coordinating and managing our efforts within our middle and high schools, as well as facilitating the collaboration between business and community resources.
Alignment will host a senior job fair April 27-28 for students planning to graduate in May and enrolled in career and technical education (CTE) courses. Employers will be available in the following industries: automotive, business, culinary, education, health care, manufacturing and welding.
